ART F.A.Q.

[ Frequently Asked Questions ]

Do you have a question related to my art? You can most likely find the answer on this page!

Q: What program do you use?

A: Clip Studio Paint, primarily. Until late 2021, I used FireAlpaca and Autodesk Sketchbook as my main programs. I tend to use MS Paint for small, rough doodles.

Q: What brushes do you use?

A: Here are the brushes I use most often for my art: gouache brush set (I use the "mixed color tube" brush for lineart), woody pencil / marker, rough pen set, HIMOG Zara Strength pen, and simple retro halftone set.

Q: What tablet do you use?

A: I used to not use one at all! Up until mid 2020, all of my digital art was done with a mouse. Currently, however, I use an 11 inch GAOMON drawing tablet with a screen display.

Q: What's your drawing process like?

A: I like to cut to the chase with my art and not spend a lot of time revising, so basically just sketch > lineart > colors > done, with hours of time subtracted like I'm doing a speedrun. I am a naturally fast artist, and, if I had the motivation to, I could pump out multiple illustrations a day.

Q: Do you take commissions?

A: Yes, I do.

Q: Do you take requests?

A: Only close friends can ask for requests, sorry.

Q: Do you do art trades?

A: I'll do art trades with anyone I'm mutuals with on social media.

Q: When will you draw (x thing) again?

A: At the risk of sounding rude or snippy: when I feel like it. My interests change all the time, and if you want to see me draw a certain thing again, it really is just a matter of waiting things out until I come back to that interest again. If you would be interested, you could also commission me to draw the content you wish to see from me.

Q: Do you draw NSFW?

A: No, or at least, I do not publicly draw it. And even then, I rarely draw it in private. It's not that I have a squeaky clean family friendly image that I want to maintain (my sailor's mouth destroyed that YEARS ago!), but simply that I just don't enjoy creating NSFW works and I found that out very early on after I became an adult. What's more my speed is drawing stupid comics where the punchline is a dick joke.

Q: Do you take constructive criticism on your art?

A: Most certainly. Though I've taken years to refine my style and technique, some advice is appreciated every now and then as there is always room for improvement.

Q: Do you ever do traditional art?

A: Rarely. You can find some traditional art I've done on the complete and utter ghost zone that is my instagram, but I hardly ever actually do full traditional pieces.

Q: Can I translate one of your comics into another language?

A: Yes, please! Just be sure to credit me if you upload the translation anywhere!

Q: Can I dub one of your comics?

A: Absolutely! It's always an honor when someone wants to voice my comics, just please credit me like always, and also send me the final video when you've uploaded it!

Q: Can I draw fanart of one of your characters / AU designs?

A: Of course! I'll never object to fanart as long as it's SFW. (We would have to be REALLY close for me to be okay with any NSFW of my designs.)

Q: Are you okay with people using your art as icons or headers on social media sites?

A: As long as they credit me somewhere on their profile, yes! That's perfectly fine.

Q: What are your feelings on people reposting your art to other websites?

A: If I'm credited directly on their post, then I don't really mind it. I like to be told when my art's reposted, however. Always let me know!

Q: How long have you been practicing digital art?

A: I've been doing digital art regularly since I was 9 years old, so as of writing this, about 14 years. I'm mostly self-taught.

Q: Where else can I find you on the internet?

A: I use the same handle pretty much everywhere with only slight variations from website to website. For art centric websites specifically, I'm magneticdogz on Newgrounds and Inkblot, @magnetic_dogz on Toyhouse, and @MAGNETIC_DOGZ on Art Fight. I have DeviantART and Instagram accounts, but they're literal ghost zones (seriously, why do I keep linking my Instagram everywhere when I don't even use it?)

If you want to know where to NOT find me, I will never EVER make accounts on Facebook or Amino and I am set on that decision. If you see accounts from "me" on those platforms, then that is not me, and most likely someone impersonating me and reposting my works.

Oh, and if you have art site recommendations, please give 'em to me, I can never seem to find an art site that scratches the same itch old DeviantART did for me.

Q: Are you a furry?

A: WHAT'S IT TO YA (yes i am)
