So you've hit my music reviews page... Howdy! As is probably self-explanatory, this page is for personal reviews on albums and soundtracks that I've listened to. For this page I use a slightly different grading system to that of my anime reviews and music reviews pages... Mind you, I'm not a professional! This is just for fun, and feel free to agree to disagree if you find any of my opinions objectionable for whatever reason.
THE GRADING SYSTEM
Each album/soundtrack I review will be graded on a total of 3 qualities, all of which will be graded on a scale of 1 to 5.
- WRITING - Did the songs have, if any, good lyrics? Were they coherent and well-written?
- VOCALS - Did the singer(s) have good vocals?
- PRODUCTION - Is the music well produced?
Differently from my anime and music reviews, each of these will be factored into a grade score, going from F to S.
Anything that gets a coveted S Grade gets a special label ... "Golden Vinyl"! Anything that gets an F receives the unwanted label "Rotten Record".
LETTER RATINGS
- F - Abysmal (Rotten Record)
- D - Bad
- C - Meh
- B - Good
- A - Great
- S - Perfect! (Golden Vinyl)
Lastly... Reviews will also include my overall thoughts on the album, specific comments I want to make, as well as what my favorite song was, if I had one. I will also include the timeframe of which I listened to the album (example: July 2023 or Summer 2023 if I don't remember the month), as well as if I'd plan getting a physical copy of it on CD or cassette (I don't have a record player... so that isn't an option...)

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
Mitski has done it again... her albums are never NOT fantastic. This one... it's got a certain home-y quality to it, if that makes sense? It's so comforting to listen to. The vocals and production here are top notch, as they always are with Mitski's works. And as always, her lyrics are masterfully written as well. Mitski's lyrics always have some kind of introspective and romantic, yet abstract quality to them that I CANNOT get enough of, and her songs are very fun to analyze because of this. My favorite song was My Love Mine All Mine, I loved the kind of 50s doo wop sound it had to it.
